Just a couple of up-coming performances!

Alex is in an 80's cover band called 88mph. They are performing every other weekend at the The Five Monkeys! Come and check them out!

Alex and I have been working really hard for our summer recital with Gottasing! vocal studio! Everyone should come and see us perform! Alex is the musical director and I am doing a solo as well as special parts in some of the group numbers! I'll post more when I know the exact details like which night I'm performing on and where the recital is being held ;)

Kimi's Gonna Have a Birthday!!

Kimi is going to be turning one year old on August 11th! She has been sleeping through the night for the past week and I REALLY hope it is going to stick... As much fun as it is to be awake at 2 a.m., I think I am living without it quite nicely! She has been growing so fast! She has two bottom teeth now and four top teeth are trying to break through. She can draw with a pencil, use a fork, and wipe her own nose! Kimi RUNS from place to place causing mischief and moving items to where she thinks they best belong!

A year seems like so little time; even though parts of it seem to have gone on forever... ;)

Kimi and I spend a lot of time at the pool! As you can see, she LOVES chips and pickles! Just like her mommy!

The Marshalls

Alex leads our family as my wonderful husband! He is currently studying piano performance at the School of Music within the University of Utah. After a first degree in Biomedical Engineering, Alex decided that his true passion was where he belonged and now eats, sleeps, and breathes music; which is where he clearly should be. He works in a vocal studio with David Schmidt and accompanies all over the place.

Katie is currently studying vocal performance at the School of Music. Most of her time however, is dedicated to sweet little Kimi. Katie and Kimi are almost completely inseparable. The only time they are not together is when Katie is in class, which is a struggle because everyone would love Kimi in her classes ;)

Kimi is the newest member of our family. She is now 7 months old and spends most of her time in my arms or trying to pull herself up onto something ;) Kimi has a very special heart. Born with Congenital Heart Disease, she has L-Transposition of the Great Arteries. This is one of two types, the other being "D-TGA." Kimi is very fortunate because with L-TGA, her heart is fully functional on it's own and so far doesn't need to have corrective surgery.
